He is a member of Historic Buckingham, Inc. and a supporter of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. His article Horseford Road: The James River Crossing at Lynchburg before 1757, appeared in Lynch s Ferry, the Official Publication of the Lynchburg Historical Foundation. He is a retired Baptist minister who lives in Forest, Virginia.
