Synopsis: My novel, America the Beautiful, follows in the footsteps of such novels turned into movies, as The Manchurian Candidate, Three Days of the Condor, Seven Days in May, All the President?s Men, and the story of Jim Garrison?s investigation into the Kennedy assassination, detailed in the novel, On the Trail of Assassins that became the movie JFK. These examples give you an idea of what to expect from this suspense filled political thriller.America the Beautiful is a fictional story based on the true account of the government?s almost forty-year cover-up concerning the John F. Kennedy assassination. Going many steps further than just the six years of investigations Garrison describes, the reader discovers how the government shielded their part in the murder of our thirty-fifth President of the United States. From the fictional characters? point of view, the reader discovers how our government continues to hide behind national security.Though there are many nonfiction books depicting the many conspiracy theories of the Kennedy assassination, what I have done is expose the many theories and test them through a fictional investigation of the truth. The truth of not only what happened on November 22, 1963, but what followed for over thirty years. It continues with President Clinton?s knowledge that there is a continued government cover-up. A cover-up he had to obey to secure his place as the forty-second President of the United States. This epic novel is a result of thirty-five years of personal investigation and research. The story unfolds as our characters find new evidence in the Kennedy assassination in 1988. It portrays what happened during the history of America between 1963 and the present. What the reader is introduced to is a Hitchcockian thriller, a story told against a historical background, providing new evidence into the most shocking and controversial crime of the Twentieth Century. In the end it will challenge the reader, especially the new generation of young

About the Author: Writer/Director John Anthony Gaetano, on sabbatical, is an active member of the Screen Actors Guild of America. He is an actor, writer and director whose talents and ambitions touch upon many areas of the motion picture industry. A serious student of Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra and Howard Hawks, formed a company in 1980 called CAP-HITCH-HAWK PRODUCTIONS, and partnered himself with Frank Capra Jr. and Dr. Thelbert Roberts. John came to Hollywood to seek fame and fortune -- though he cared for neither. In 1976 he slipped onto the 20th Century Fox lot where Mel Brooks spotted him. Thinking he was being chased off the set, John started to leave but was stopped by Brook?s assistant. In reality, Mel Brooks chose him to appear as an extra in his film ?Silent Movie.? Following this promising opportunity, John would appear as an extra, bit-player, and supporting player in such motion pictures as ?Coming Home,? ?The Good-by Girl,? ?Grease,? ?Meteor,? ?The Swarm,? ?The Muppet Movie,? ?All Night Long,? ?The Competition,? ?Annie,? ?Flashdance,? ?Dr. Pepper?s Lonely Heart Club Band,? and ?Beverly Hills Cop II.? John has appeared in Sidney Poitier?s ?Stir Crazy,? and Richard Brooks? ?Wrong is Right.? He also appeared not only as an actor, but as a stuntman in Steven Spielberg?s ?1941,? where he saved John Belushi?s life on the set. His contributions in television include ?M*A*S*H,? ?The Rockford Files,? ?Police Story,? ?Columbo,? ?Kojak,? ?Battlestar Galactica,? ?Beyond West World,? ?Lou Grant,? ?Hunter,? ?Hill Street Blues,? ?St. Elsewhere,? ?Nightcourt,? ?Friendly Fire,? and ?Masada.? Early in his career, at age eighteen, John was the youngest live sports announcer and the youngest disc jockey at FM radio station KPBX in Spokane, Washington where he produced, directed and wrote his own programs. Moving to Honolulu, Hawaii, he became friends with sports announcer Les Keiter, and began working for CBS radio as a copywriter and trained as a newscaster. He was also enterta
