1871. Gilt-stamped cl. Quarto. 512 pp., well-illustrated + good plates. Illuminated frontispiece + folded folio-sized illuminated facsimile of a page from the circa-1455 Gutenberg & Fust Bible. Gilt images on front cover & spine, stamped not gilt on lower cover. Beveled edges. Some loss at head&heel, edges well-worn, cloth bearing publisher's seal at tail end of spine is torn - 90% detached, front hinge is broken & detached, back hinge is starting but still fairly strong, text block foxed as per usual.
