Aside from a hint of foxing in the margins of a few color plates, a fine, fresh copy. Signed by Downs on the title page. Tipped to the front pastedown is a 1953 letter from Downs, on Winterthur letterhead, about a trip to Winterthur and a trip to Princeton. Mounted to the front free endpaper is a copy of H. F. du Pont's Joseph Downs. An Appreciation and a Bibliography of his Publications (1954), signed by du Pont.
