About this Item

Hardcover with dust jacket; black cloth with metallic copper lettering on the spine. This book is a first printing limited to 10,000 copies. The 427 pages are crisp, clean and unmarked with many duotone photographs, an index and a foreword by Keith Schneider. The only noticeable flaw is very slight fraying to one corner. The mylar covered dust jacket has a 1/8" closed tear at the bottom of the spine as well as some creasing at the top of the spine. There is some rubbing at the corners with some minor shelfwear at the top and bottom edges. The front and back free end papers feature maps of nuclear test sites. Unwilling to let the tragedy of nuclear testing go unremembered, the author recounts the destruction of life and land through eye-witness accounts of the Americans who were unfortunate enough to be living downwind of the nuclear test sites. Together with oral history and documentary photography, a thought provoking and tragic chapter in American history has been preserved. Size: 4to - over 9" - 12" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 000777
