The December 10th, 1902 edition (No. 236) of "Pluck and Luck: Complete Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers. 29pp, (3pp ads). Very good. A tad age toned about edges; inner text pages mildly and evenly age toned, as usual, free of the edge tears and chips that plague most dime novels. Handsome, tight issue of this adventure weekly. Excellent chromolithograph front wrapper graphic depicts a lush, tropical valley with hero Tom with hands tied as his buddies Joe and Mickey attack Tom's Aztec warrior captors. Reads the caption, "The stock of Joe's rifle struck Loyola's head and he fell like a log, while the other, before he could defend himself, went down under a blow from Mickey's shillelah. With the cords dangling from his wrists, Tom stood looking from side to side in amazement." A far better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns. Bookseller Inventory #
