A literal unexpurgated translati n from the Paris Edition of 1821. This Edition is Limited to One Hundred Numbered Copies, No. 77. Four volumes, octavos (5½x7¾ in./20cm), handsomely bound in gilt-ruled bright green half Morocco and green linen boards, the gold-decorated spines are in six panels between raised bands, top edges gilt, green marbled end-papers. Over 1200 pages overall, printed in a very readable type font with wide margins. Illustrated with tissue-guarded engravings etched by Louis Monzies from drawings by Paul Avril. Provenance: volumes 2-4 have the distinctive Siamese cat bookplates of Dorolese Weller (see image) affixed to the inside front covers; a small stylized swan is blind-embossed in the upper corner of the first flyleaf of each volume. Small gilt on black label on inside back cover: Des Forges Books De Luxe Milwaukee. No other marks inside or out. Very Fine!
