Includes articles on early aviation and aeronautical efforts, on North Polar Exploration by Robert Peary, the Swedish Antarctic Expedition by Otto Nordenskiold. Most important, though, is a reprinting of Pierre Curie's lecture to the Royal Institute of London on the discovery of radium and radio-activity in general. There are also a couple of pieces on high speed interurban railways.
