This work comprises hymns and psalms for use at the Temple Church, situated between the River Thames and Fleet Street.From the library of Frederick Calvert (1806-1891), an MP and Whig politician. He was called to the Bar in 1831.Presented to Calvert by James Stuart-Wortley (1805-1881), a Conservative politician and Treasurer of the Inner Temple in 1856, when this work was printed.The Inner Temple is one of the four associations for barristers and judges, which must be joined by anyone called to the bar. In a full calf binding. Externally generally smart, with some bumping to extremities and rubbing to the head of the spine; otherwise, general wear only. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown; presentation inscription to the front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 765R55
