This copy is Number 17" Very large quarto volume (9" by 11.5"), xxvi + 485 pages, 24 tipped-in color plates mounted on heavy gray paper with printed captions, color pictorial endpapers and decorative title page with a tissue guard in place, all by Paul Bransom. Bound in red cloth spine, with titles stamped in gold, and off-white paper-covered boards, with titles printed in red and a pictorial decoration of monkeys in red and gold, top page edges gilded. Minor edge wear and some old damp stains at lower corners of the last few pages, otherwise a largely unopened copy, in that many of the signatures are uncut at the outer edges. Signed by Illustrator.
