Boldly inscribed with felt tip marker to David [Copley], the late publisher of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Inscription includes heart with "D" enclosed, as well as "Love, Max, 2003". Copley was a collector of modern art and served as the Chairman of the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego prior to his untimely death in 2012. Lovely copy in dust jacket with no signs of edge wear. Red cloth binding.
