Book one only of this work devoted to the basic principles of violin playing, discussing the instrument and its components, what the left and right arm should be doing, tone production, daily exercises and etude material, fingering, etc. Carl Flesch was an Hungarian born violinist, eventually living in Austria, Berlin, Germany and London. He was known for his playing of chamber music, as well as teaching that the violinist should be considered an artist (Wikipedia). GOOD condition.
