Octavo (8 3/4 x 5 3/4 in; 223 x 145 mm). 286, [1], [1, blank] pp. Eight full-page color plates, sixty black and white drawings. Pictorial endpapers printed in green.Publisher's original brick-red cloth pictorially stamped in black and tan and lettered in black to upper board and spine. Inner hinges expertly repaired, small piece torn away from front free end-paper. Some very light white paint flecks on covers, spine slightly faded and a little worn at ends. A good example at a 'bargain' price.". with the Hans Andersen maybe mentioned The Arthur Rackham Fairy Book, undertaken in the same propitious mood and published in the following year.
