The high degree of accuracy of this color plates was due to the fact that Fuertes prepared skins in the field and made the paintings from him. Signature of former owner on front endpaper dated 1974. Rub marks on the spine cloth and on the front cover, small marginal stain to the center-part of the top page edge not affecting text or plates, inner joints of front and rear endpapers slightly browned, the text and plates are bright and clean; a tight and clean copy in good condition.
