About this title

Dust jacket notes: "Betty Lynch is a well known watercolorist and sketch artist who also conducts workshops in the United States and abroad. She is especially noted for her ability to teach others to discover their own style. She strongly discourages copying of any kind, believing that the individual's innate abilities and imagery must direct the work at hand. Through the years, she has developed some guiding principles which are noted here. She keeps them uppermost in her mind as she creates her drawings and watercolors. She shares them with her students as well." The book features a wide selection of the artist's sketches and watercolors, in full-page reproduction, the watercolors in color, the sketches in black and white. The art works, created during the artist's travels in the United States and abroad, are accompanied by her personal notes.
