Part 1; assaying gold and silver discusses the techniques of assaying gold and silver. Copy includes assay tables. This copy belonged to Charles J. Lyser who was the superintendent of the Wonder Mining Company in Death Valley. Mr. Lyser wrote his name in black ink on the inside of the front cover, "Chas. J. Lyser, Supt. Wonder M. Co.
