A bound volume of this noted magazine, featuring 'A London Suburb' and 'Recollections of a Gifted Woman' by Nathaniel Hawthorne; the poem 'Boston Hymn,' by Ralph Waldo Emerson; 'Sojourner Truth, the Lybian Sybil' by Harriet Beecher Stowe, as well as work by Gail Hamilton, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Julia Ward Howe and others. GOOD condition, EX-LIBRARY. Small circular blindstamp on the title page, with a few minor notations on the copyright page. No stamps, pockets, pastedowns or spine label. General fading to the cloth, heavier to the spine. Minor soiling and scuffing, with light edgewear. Top page edges soiled and darkened. Interior solid. Minor scattered foxing.
