Book Description Generalitat de Catalunya, Department de Cultura, Barcelona, Spain, 1995. Wrappers. Book Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. **SIGNED COPY** A rare original Catalog of the artist's show held in September and October of 1995 at the marvelous Pia Almoina in Barcelona, Spain, signed/inscribed by Aurelia Munoz directly to the title page. In the works presented here, Munoz gives new meaning to the term "work on paper," creating delicate yet formidable sculptures from a vast array of mutable materials ranging from handmade paper to textile fibers and other substances reflecting a fundamental organic essence which seems almost to radiate from the pieces. Her ability to beautifully marry geometry and abstraction with natural textiles, creates an entirely new three-dimensional artistic vocabulary. Born in 1926 in Barcelona, Spain, Munoz's works are included in many museum collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan; The Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL; Stedelijk van Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands; Royal Scottish Museum, Edinburgh, Scotland; Museum of Contemporary Art Reina Sofia, Madrid, Spain and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Barcelona, Spain among others. An exhibition of several of the renowned 83 year-old artist's recent works is, at the time of this posting, being held at Barcelona's N2 Gallery. Usually exhibited exclusively in Museums, the N2 Gallery's show is Munoz's first gallery appearance in more than three decades. This uncommon catalog ships FAST!! and securely packaged from Southern California. Inscribed by Author(s). Bookseller Inventory # ABE647B15
