12mo, single sheet, 2pp. To: Dear Sir (W.H. Mill, D.D.), "May I take the liberty of begging .your kind aid to the undertaking explained in the enclosed papers. It happens.circumstances to be necessary to our sucess to raise a fund immediately for the supply of the objects of study to our collection, as otherwise opportunities which now exist will be lost."etc. Signed Geo. Gilbert Scott. Written from London, Febury 16th, 1853. Left edge uneven touching a letter in three lines probably caused by the removal of a integral blank leaf, two folds. Very good copy.
