12mo, 2 integral leaves. 3pp. Dated 22 April 1894, on letterhead printed 16, Duke Street Mansions, Grosvenor Square, W., but with an added vacation adress of Windermere Bank, Bowners-on-Windermere. To: "My Dear Agnew". Writes that he is happy that "Under the Rose" is long enough to make a novel itself and that it would be better not to include any other sketches. He states "the dog and I came down on Wednesday" and that he has charming rooms with a bay window looking down the lake and that he is writing a new story for Punch, that he will sign two books for Agnew's father and that he will be ready to "correct the proof's of Under the Rose at any time you wish". .
