This noted French composer collaborated with Sergei Diaghilev on many Ballets Russes productions; also a well-known music critic. ALS in French, 1p, 4 3/4" X 7", n.p., 1930 February 28. Near fine. On letterhead of the "Comedie Francaise," Charpentier notifies American expatriate pianist and music critic Irving Schwerke (1893-1975) of his appointment as director of a music journal. Very uncommon and a lovely vintage example. Seller Inventory # 25040
