Description:

This British actress of film, theatre and television appears in dozens of films from the 1930s onward, but it is as television's "Miss Marple" (1984-92) that she will always be remembered. ANS, 1p, 7" X 5½", London, England, 1978 November 5. Addressed to Richard Laade. Near fine. On pale blue stationery, Hickson pens a gracious brief note to an admirer. She notes her address as "The National Theatre / South Bank," where she was appearing in Alan Ayckbourn's "Bedroom Farce," for which the won a 1979 Tony Award. Handsomely penned in blue ink.
