About this Item

FIRST Edition, FIRST Printing, with publishers full number line present. A Very Good or Better volume in same condition unclipped dust jacket. * SIGNED * by LILLIAN CARTER (mother of President Jimmy Carter) on blank white free end-paper, where she wrote "Happy Birthday to Both of Us, Lillian Carter, 8/15/77". NOT inscribed to anyone. Just the lovely notation in her hand. Front red end-paper shows a lightly rubbed shadow where a book plate was probably removed. Tiny smudge to lower closed page edge (just a smudge!) Dust jacket has a few itsy edge chips and closed tears and has evenly age-toned. A Fabulous item. Co-authored by her daughter, Gloria Carter Spann. Mylar protected jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 002087
