19-1/4 by 7 inches. Four-panel daily cartoon: 'How come you always say such funny things? / I try and try but nothing comes. / What's your secret? / Straight men.' An early piece of Hart's art; B.C. began in 1958. Old fold at the center; tanned copyright label affixed with clear tape; light mat burn; pin-holes in margin. Inscribed to Al Capp (creator of Li'l Abner), 'Al,--your stuff is a gas, Johnny.' Unfortunately, the inscription is almost completely faded. 'Gallery of Fine Comic Art' sticker on the back.
