About this Item

Almost no wear to extremities, a two-inch white spot along the lower edge of the front cover and a faint spot on lower edge of rear cover [from setting the book down in something?], faint dent in front cover, cloth clean and bright, gilt bright, all color illustations present and in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket has a scuff mark at the lower lefthand corner of the front panel, else near fine and not price-clipped. Edward Bach [1886-1936], M.B., B.S., M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., D.P.H., was a bacteriologist and homeopathic physician. During his medical training, Bach came to the conclusion that sickness and disease were not primarily due to phuysical causes, but to some deeper disharmony within the sufferer. In 1930 Bach gave up his big London practice to devote full time to the search for a simple method of treatment and harmless remedies amongst the wild flowers of the countryside. Working until his death in 1936, Bach perfected his system of healing and found thirty-eight remedies, all, with one exception [Rock Water] the flowers of plants, trees and bushes. [from the front matter on Edward Bach] Nora Weeks and Victor Bullen were on the staff of The Dr. Edward Bach Healing Centre, Mount Vernon, Sotwell, Wallingford, Berks, England.
