Preliminaries of xii and text of 94 pages. The folding map of The Barony of Beare and Bantry in Ye County of Corke is present in the rear. With the frontispiece depicting Donal O'Sullivan, Prince of Bear and Bantry. Title set in red on title page. Laid in at pgs 26-27 is a small slip of brown paper which contains 7 manuscript lines, in a contemporary hand, of a poem by Padraic Pearse: "Old Women of Beare" / Pearse's Poem / I am Ireland: / I am older than the Old Woman of Beare. / Great my glory: I that bore Cuchulainn the Valiant. / Great my shame: my own children that sold their mother. / I am Ireland: I am lonelier than the Old Woman of Beare.
