Description:

SINGLE ISSUE ONLY. Original newspaper style publication; now folded into fourths with full unfolded dimensions of each page as H 51cm x L 35.5cm. All pages present and numbered as 9-16 (continuing in sequence from January Issue No. 1 of Volume XII). Pages 9-12 and 13-16 have untrimmed top edges. Shallow chipping (bug damage) at top right margins; several chips, tears, and creases at margins; pages 15-16 have several small chips along newspaper's original horizontal center fold. Illustrated masthead; each page features five column layout with illustrations amongst articles. Period advertising on pages 15-16. Issue comprised of typical newspaper stock paper with mild foxing but minimal age toning. Apparently a rather scarce if not rare 19th century apiarist and agricultural periodical for OCLC does not cite any copies among member libraries. Neither the Library of Congress nor the USDA's National Agricultural Library list copies either and an online Google search only turns up a few relevant cursory citations. Bookseller Inventory #
