Second edition (fifth thousand). Original cloth backed boards with a imprint of a toadstool on the front board. 49 pages of descriptive text accompanying the 24 colour plates, which show various aspects of dissection. Boards a touch rubbed and stained, very minimal, with some light wear to both ends of the spine. Contents really clean and tight. A near Fine copy. Subjects of the plates include: yeast and bacteria, brown and green moulds, protococcus and chara, bracken fern, flowering plant, amoeba, blood corpuscles, vorticella, hydra, earth-worm, fresh-water mussel, lobster, snail, frog.
