Peter Bisset [1869-1951] was an internationally recognized horticulturist and his book is considered a classic in the field. His book on water gardening continues to be consulted by water gardeners as well as researchers and botanical historians today. Peter Bisset not only discovered and named many plants during his career, he also developed variants, including water lilies and a thornless rose. Because of his work, some bear his surname, including the water lily Nymphaea Bisseti. Bookseller Inventory #
