Frontispiece black and white photos of Henry and Marie Guadalupe Dalton plus 10 other black and white photos and drawings. Bright red cloth with gilt letters on the spine. Fine. No dust jacket. (It would have been issued in a plain tan paper jacket.) Laid in is an announcement of the book dated October 4, 1977 which is also signed by Jackson. Sheldon Jackson earned degrees from the University of Kansas, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and from the University of Southern California (Ph.D.). He was Professor of History in Azusa Pacific University. He has published numerous articles dealing with the history of the trans-Mississippi West, centering on the Great Plains and the Pacific Coast.
