Original gilt-stamped cloth, fine condition, corners bumped. 511 pp., 4 colored charts, 50 small Rand McNally maps of the various states along with several Canadian provinces. Many ads front and back, including several gilt, colored or elaborately lithographed. Everything in the book, including the ads, relates to banking. The text lists all banks, bankers, brokers, cashiers, assistant cashiers, and commercial lawyers in the country. The ads, in addition to the many ads for specific banks around the country, are for products used in banks. These include safes, rubber and mechanical stamps, ironwork for cages, makers of ledger books, etc. A veritable treasure trove of information on the banking system of the Gilded Age. OCLC 7214548 lists 26 locations, but this listing covers the run of this periodical which was issued twice a year from 1882 to 1899.
