About this Item

In original red cloth bindings from the publisher with gilt titling. Slightly bumped but otherwise clean bright and tight. This book was published "for the promotion of a sound banking system." Edited by J. Laurence Laughlin, Professor of political economy in the university of Chicago and author of several texts on economics. At this point in history the national banking system was already 50 years old, but had changed very little by 1912. As it was then it is now, Banking reform is still a hotly debated issue, and although scope and scale of our society has changed since the publication of this tome, the ideals and thoughts behind banking reform have not. A lot can be gleaned from within the pages of this important economic work. Size: 8tvo. Bookseller Inventory # 009248
