This VG quality third format book (gray binding with blue lettering) was first published in 1914 by Cupples & Leon. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 246 numbered pages of text followed by 6 unnumbered pages of ads. This book is square, very clean, free of edge dings with the lower front corner lightly bumped; head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with no fabric damage; the bottom edges have almost no wear though the corner tips are worn through and the boards are exposed at those corners. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The frontis is present and not damaged. The paper is mildly toned but very flexible. The series lists at the rear of the book lists all 14 titles in this Baseball Joe series. The VG+ quality jacket is clean and not faded. It has tiny chips at heel of the spine and at the lower front corner; there are also several tiny tears and wear at the head of the spine and at the top front corner.
