About this Item

Looks like it was printed yesterday. Name and date (Dec. 25, 1906) written upside down inside the back cover used a dipping pen. Bright gilt on ribbed spine. Red leather bindings (wrap decorative spine and the four corners) with a heavy red-brown marbled paper in the middle and used for the endpapers. Pages are uncut on edges. Cut and bright gilt on top edges. The history during four centuries. 21 Chapters. 18 illustrations on heavy paper and each has protective tissue with printed note in red. Very tight copy with Non-aged pages. A little rubbing on the corners. A beautiful copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 001542
