About this Item

This book is a sequel to "Charlesmont", and, according to the forward (called "Advertisement" is based on "the famous Kentucky tragedy of which he was the unhappy hero." Seems quite typical of the novels at that time. the Book is in good condition, considering it's age. The edges are scuffed and bumped and the spine a little wobbly, but the cover is elaborately tooled with an all-over design and the words "Claxton Edition" with a quotation from Thomas Carlyle.
