About the Author:

Tsehay Alemayehu is a Montessori teacher, writer, and firm supporter of nature's role in the development of children's education. She is the author of two other children's storybooks, Zeraf! and The Girl Who Smelled Like Orange. She grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She now lives in the UK with her husband and their two children. Maya Bazzini was born in London. A graduate from University of Arts in London, she has been working on film production for the BBC, channel 4, Al Jazeera, and for independent British filmmakers. Maya has traveled much of South America and has come to know closely with indigenous communities, mainly in Guatemala, Venezuela, Chile, and Argenti na, where she currently lives and works.
