From a theological library. This volume contains both works, each having their 1712 Title Page. The publisher of this combined edition in 1713 has printed a double title page with a 1713 date. Bound in modern, green library buckram with new endpapers. Pagination: 1713 Title Page, (blank), 1712 Title Page of Calamy's "A Discourse" with the price of 4d having the "4" written in ink, 27 pages main text, (1); 1712 Title Page of Thomas De Laune's "A Plea for the Non-Conformists", (blank), 16, (6) with erratum, 144 pages main text. Pages 93-104 are the 1712 reprint with it's own Title Page, of "The Image of the Beast" which was first printed in 1684. Pages 105-144 are the 1712 reprint with it's own Title Page, of "A Narrative of the Sufferings of Thomas De Laune", which was first printed in 1684. The pages are browned with a little foxing, but are in very good condition, still being supple. The upper margin of the pages have been trimmed in the rebinding, the pages now measuring about 4-1/4 inches by 7 inches. Library bookplate with a few pages having a library blindstamp, and the remains of an inked signature at the top of the 1713 title page, which has been mostly trimmed off.
