About the Author:

Morris Turfryer was born of Jewish parents November 23, 1918. When he was four years old his family moved from England (the place of his birth) to Holland. As a Jew, he experienced first-hand the persecution of the Jewish people by the Nazis, eventually being imprisoned at Bergen Belsen. After the war, Mr. Turfryer immigrated to American, where he spent the remainder of his life.
