About this Item

25 by 17.5 cms. 18 pp. illustrated in colour. The first edition was published in July 1916. Includes as inserts two folding advertising leaflets for their Matone flat oil paint, from 1920, 1923, both have a stamp for Clokey & Co. King street Belfast - a company I remember very well surviving into the 1960's before being destroyed by terrorists. The stencil designs are pure 1920's, for ceiling decoration, frieze designs (naturalistic) pictorial friezes, Dutch, Chinese & Japanese friezes, period frieze designs, wall decoration panel designs, swag and spot designs, classical borders, French and Georgian designs, Church and Chapel decoration, etc, etc. A splendid survival, the card covers are a little dusty but internally fresh and tight, in very good condition.
