A scarce account of the double murder of a father and son in the nineteenth century. This work explores the grisly tale of murder at the Moor Cock, on the edge of Saddleworth Moors.The murders of old pub landlord William Bradbury and his son Tom were discovered on the morning of the 3rd April 1832, by William's granddaughter. Both had been stabbed multiple times, with Tom suffering extreme wounds to the head and William to his arms and head. Remarkably, despite the savage attack, both were still alive when help found them, but had succumbed to their injuries within a day.The pub was torn down in 1937; the case remains unsolved.With four illustrations, of the pub, their grave, the church and the moors.A scarce exploration of this work, examining the facts of the case.
