Description:

This is number 104 of a deluxe printing limited to 135 copies, of "Bishop's Birds, Etchings of Water-Fowl and Upland Game Birds", signed by the artist, Richard Bishop, and numbered. The cover (9.375" x 12.25"), vellum with gilt bird silhouettes and gilt lettering, is good overall, with a solid attachment to the inside, and no tears. There are stains, not large, but notable (see cover photo). This limited edition has a signed etching, Trumpeter Swan, bound as a frontispiece. This is in excellent condition (see photo). The body of the book has 73 aquatone etchings, all of which are fine in the live areas, with no stains or fade, but a small number of which have some edge foxing. The last several leaves have a light stain to the page edges. This, as with the foxing, doesn't penetrate to the live areas. Most of these stained edges are to blank final leaves. There are no stamps or other attachments. The binding is solid, with no loose or missing pages. There are no tears or creases. The above photos are of this copy, and are accurate reflections of its conditions. International buyers should note this would be sent priority express insured, with a shipping charge of $70. US shipping would be by media insured mail, with a shipping charge of $15.00. Bookseller Inventory #
