This VG- format #2 (as per Mattson & Davis: 7-3/4", light blue cloth) is square, free of corner bumps and edge dings; spine ends are lightly bumped without fabric damage. It does have some cosmetic damage: numerous white dots of color loss (see photo), what looks like water staining along the top edge of both boards (though there is no internal water damage); and an overall looks of being heavily used. The interior is completely different: except for a penciled 1924 inscription on the first blank page following the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type; frontis + 3 is intact; the paper is only mildly toned and still very flexible, not at all brittle; the hinges are quite sound and not damaged in any fashion. The VG- format #1 & #2 jacket is intact and not faded, though it is heavily used. There is wear along the front fold and the rear gutter, chips at each of the four corners, chips and tears at the head and heel of the spine, and some image damage on the spine (see photo).
