Foley covers not only the tanks themselves but the people who produced and fought in the tanks. After initial battlefield successes tanks were employed in areas and missions not suited to their abilities. In the 1917 the Battle of Cambrai tanks were employed in both a mission and terrain that matched their strengths. Since then the tank has been a part of every major army in the world. Very good copy of the first American edition in a good+ dust jacket. The dust jacket has a little edge wear on the top of the jacket. 195 pages. Bookseller Inventory # 38073
