Front cover and eandleaf detached, and rear cover likely to become so. Inner hinges cracked front and back, but text block secure and clean throughout. A good copy only. Sold as is with all faults. Unmarked ex-library copy. The Bollandists were "An association of ecclesiastical scholars engaged in editing the Acta Sanctorum. This work is a great hagiographical collection begun during the first years of the seventeenth century (but based on much earlier work by the Jesuit Heribert Rosweyde, who began his work around 1603) and continued to our own day.
