Title: Bomba the Jungle Boy at the Giant Cataract ...
Publisher: Cupples & Leon Company , New York
Publication Date: 1926
Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket Included
Edition: 1st Edition
Small 8vo. Tan cloth with black lettering and pictorial stamping, pictorial dust jacket. 204pp, (8pp ads). Frontispiece. Very good/good plus. Jacket a tad edgeworn and a bit rubbed, with a couple small edge chips and archivally closed (on verso) edge tears -- but intact, complete and overall attractive. A tight, quite nice first edition of the third title in this popular Tarzan spinoff series that numbered 20 volumes and included later film versions featuring Johnny Sheffield. Fun front jacket panel graphics by W.S. Rogers shows bow-and-arrow clutching young Bomba standing full-length in a thick jungle setting, a tiger's head popping out from the undergrowth in the background. Truly an exceptional copy.
