About this Item

New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons (1972). Octavo, cloth, in a dust wrapper. 569 pages, illustrated. Dust wrapper worn at spine ends, but still a very good copy of the First Edition. Signed by Van Allen Bradley and with an Autograph Note Signed by him on his Barrington, Illinois stationery. For many years the best one-volume guide to the values of British and American rare books of the nineteenth and twentieth century. Its greatest strengths lay in the area of literary first editions. Still useful as a general guide to the types of books likely to have value, and to their relative values. Contains lots of useful information about "points" of issue, first editions, and whether or not the edition was issued with a dust wrapper. Bookseller Inventory # 9048
