Book Description Charnel House, New York, 2003. Hardcover; 1st Printing. Condition: F. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. 1st Edition.. SIGNED and numbered by the author on the limitation page, this is #141 of 1,250 signed limited edition copies. Fine as new (unread) book in Fine as new black cloth (matches the cloth on the book) publisher-i ssued slipcase, with no faults or damage to either. Issued without dustjacket. The book has a black cloth spine with gilt printing, a plain matching black cloth back panel, and a black silk ribbon placemarker. The paper over boards front panel has a geometric art deco design in dark gray, green and blue with ivory for an accent. From 1981 through 2001, Koontz used 'dark' poetry quotes, from a supposed mysterious book of this name as epigraphs at the beginnings - and occasionally at part divisions - of many of his books. It snowballed on him and began to take over a large part of his and his assistants' lives, due to all the requests from fans for information about or a copy of the book. In this now-realized book, Koontz starts with 8 tickle-your-funny-bone chapters of musings on the why's and wherefor's of how The Book Of Counted Sorrows came to be imagined, then published, and how the publication will hopefully make his life halfway sane again. Actually, the poems 'are' quite good, though they are 'not' funny, nor intended to be. ; 9-1/4" x 6-1/8"; 71 pages; Signed by Author. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 9330
