First edition thus. Black full-cloth boards, gilt embossed cover design and spine titles, lt. shelf wear. Thick deckled leave, fine. Bind fine; hinges intact. A fine facsimile of original invented and engraved by Blake in 1825. The End of the Book of Job, the Eighteenth of the Old Testament, Written, According to the Tradition, by Moses, While Among the Midianites About Fifteen Hundred Years Before the Birth of Christ. These twenty-two engravings of Blake were made from those in possession of the British Museum. The letterpress was set up and printed by the Westminster Press and the collotype plates were made and printed by Messrs. Whittingham and Griggs. Ornate vintage bookstore lable inside front cover of Charles Walker Andrews w/Latin phrase "cum grano salis" meaning "with a grain of salt". Interestingly, this same book collector indicated by his bookplate, also possessed a first printing of Charles Darwin's infamous title, recently re-discovered and selling at Christie's for over 50k. From article: "Charles Walker Andrews, a lawyer in Syracuse, N.Y., and his brother, William Shankland, also a lawyer, were book collectors.
