About this Item

Green cloth; small 4to; pp. xxi, 485, plus 8 plates in color, and 96 in b/w, mostly from photographs by A. R. Dugmore. Ernest Hemingway's grandmother's copy, with her signature and location on FFEP (Adelaide Edwards Hemingway / Sanibel Island, Fla. / 1905). Boards and last two leaves detached (but present); lacking backstrip. Text block is overall bright and clean, though a few pages show some very faint foxing, with one moment of underlining. Worthy of repair for its interesting provenance. Bookseller Inventory # D8886
