About this title

Synopsis:

"I swung out and back. Driving upward again, I released the trapeze bar and spun a full twisting somersault followed by two straight somersaults. I plummeted into the middle of the safety net on my butt, intending to rebound to the catcher's trapeze and make a seated landing. But the stake holding the spreader ropes on the left side of the net pulled out. I was catapulted toward the box seats beyond the ring curb. What thoughts flashed across my mind? I thanked God to have lived such a full life. Nearly twenty-one years on the flying trapeze. Maybe this was it. We were in Circus Knie, in Nyon, Switzerland. It was September 1982. I shot past the catcher's ladder at the edge of the net. It was my only chance to save myself. I reached for it." The Flying Gaonas' International fame had begun in 1965 in Sweden. The Gaonas flew with the renowned Circus Knie in Switzerland in 1982. This is Tito Gaona's story. It's exciting as hell.
